About The Position

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W1E8AA USA INTELLIGENCE CTR OF EXCELLENCE. Duties include planning and designing logistical training-related customer assistance programs, which encompass student and cadre equipment authorizations, supply in/out-processing execution, supporting field training exercises (FTX), and accountability. This also includes planning and designing programs related to supply discipline, excess property, and other activities. The role provides logistics training support to other organizational satellite training missions/locations within the Continental United States (CONUS). Responsibilities involve reviewing and approving supply forms such as material requisitions, turn-in documents, and authorization documents. The specialist will engage and collaborate with Senior military and civilian personnel in the execution of routine duties and serve as the primary hand receipt holder for campus training support. The role requires evaluating organizational operations to determine equipment accountability requirements, investigating equipment discrepancies (shortages, overages, incorrect data), and advising campus personnel on equipment loss, damage, and destruction (LDD) procedures. Additionally, the specialist will provide advice and guidance to cadre and other staff members on the full range of supply support services and requirements, monitor progress toward meeting logistics support plans, identify causes and impacts of delays, and initiate actions to overcome them. The position involves interpreting and adapting guidelines for supply policies and procedures, as well as interpreting, enforcing, and executing policies and procedures for logistics support obtained from external partners supporting the organization's mission.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to after hours recall to duty.
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays as need based on mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must complete a pre-employment physical and annual physical thereafter.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Duties may include significant periods of standing, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling carts of supplies or equipment, and using heavy equipment movers to transport heavy items.
  • Resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
  • Specialized experience is defined as experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of supply management programs as demonstrated by experience administering supply and property accountability programs that includes acquisition, receipt, distribution, and storage of supplies and property; maintaining automated property books and hand receipts; and assisting with conducting studies and/or inventories to identify and resolve supply issues.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
