About The Position

This role involves the cleaning, painting, and minor repair of crane components and accessories for Morrow Equipment Company. The position requires effective communication, collaboration, and a commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, dependable, and possess strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include preparing and overhauling crane and hoist components, operating shop machinery, utilizing rigging equipment, and performing maintenance on tools and shop equipment. Safety is paramount, requiring adherence to all company safety rules, policies, and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role also involves representing the company professionally and maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.
  • May be required to maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • May be required to maintain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s carrier.
  • May be required to have a forklift operator’s license.
  • May be required to maintain a Crane Operator Qualification.
  • May be required to complete rigger/signaling training and/or may be required to complete rigging/signal person certification.

  • Ensure lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use.
  • Follow all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner.
  • Notify the Shop Foreman or District Service Manager of unsafe conditions and/or practices.
  • Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company.
  • Work at heights as required.
  • Work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by District Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workspace.
  • Assist co-workers whenever possible.
