About The Position

This position requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The General Shop role involves various tasks including assembly, sanding, grinding, painting, and handling chemicals. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess basic computer skills for completing transactions and paperwork, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Punctuality, reporting issues, and cross-training in different departments are also key aspects of this role. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining a clean workstation, and the ability to work in different weather conditions. The role also involves physical demands such as lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods, and potentially working overtime with short notice.

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Basic computer skills.
• Familiar with sanding, grinder, paint, various chemicals, assembly tools.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Be able to stand for extended periods including, standing, walking, sitting, lifting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete necessary computer transactions and paperwork proficiently.
• Work as part of the team, share ideas with the team and Mechanical Engineering as needed.
• Report any assembly issue or delays to the Lead and Supervisor.
• Cross train in various departments as required.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Work under different weather conditions in a manufacturing environment.
• Work overtime in a short notice or as needed.
