General Service / Tire Technician

About The Position

Big O Tires is seeking an experienced, hardworking Tire Technician to service and maintain tires and wheels accurately and promptly. The role also includes vehicle maintenance such as fluid services and exchanges, oil changes, flushes, and battery testing and installation. Technicians may test-drive vehicles after maintenance. The franchise offers a family-oriented work environment and benefits, including profit-sharing bonuses and paid time off. Compensation is $15.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and ability. This position is with an independently owned and operated franchise; the franchisee makes all hiring decisions.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license.
Experience mounting, balancing, and repairing tires.
Ability to perform oil changes and fluid exchanges on automobiles and light trucks.
Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
Reliable transportation to work.
Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds.
Must meet company requirements, including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Mount and dismount tires; repair, rotate, and inflate tires; install new wheels.
Perform fluid services and fluid exchanges.
Perform oil changes, flushes, and other maintenance.
Calibrate TPMS.
Stock inventory.
Test and install batteries.
Test-drive vehicles after maintenance.
