General Service Technician/Tire and Lube Technician
About The Position
Woodie’s Auto Service is hiring a full-time General Service Technician. This entry-level role offers hourly pay plus commission and the opportunity to develop into higher-level technician positions. Woodie’s is locally owned and operated and has locations in the Charlotte, North Carolina, and Charleston, South Carolina, areas. The technician will service all makes and models while following proper procedures and maintaining high-quality standards. The company offers paid training and company-paid opportunities to earn ASE certifications. The role provides opportunities for advancement as technicians gain experience and certifications. The position does not require working nights or Sundays.
Requirements
- Be mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Be able to stand, kneel, and crawl while using tools and equipment.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have personal tools, including pneumatic tools for basic services.
Responsibilities
- Perform tire installations and rotations.
- Complete oil, lube, and filter services.
- Install batteries.
- Assist with inspections and basic mechanical repairs.
- Work on all makes and models.
- Follow proper procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
