About The Position

Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Tire and Lube Technician to provide vehicle maintenance and customer service. The role involves tire services, oil changes, basic inspections, wheel alignments, and accurate service recordkeeping while following shop safety protocols. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no weekend work. Pay is $640–$800 per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient knowledge of tire installation, repair techniques, and oil change procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools.
• Attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a tire and lube technician or in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations, answer inquiries, and provide customer service.
• Follow company safety protocols and guidelines in the shop.
