About The Position

Pro Auto Care and Collision is a full-service mechanical repair and maintenance shop and collision center serving retail and fleet customers. The General Service Technician performs assigned work according to work orders and automotive industry standards, supporting shop operations and customer service in a clean, comfortable workplace. The position includes oil changes, filter replacement, inspections, responsible driving for parts and customer or vehicle transport, and coordination with the Service Writer and production schedule. The wage range is $18–$20 per hour, based on credentials and experience.

Requirements

• Be a highly motivated team player with attention to detail.
• Have good communication and writing skills and focus on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Have a working knowledge of standard shop equipment and tools.
• Be able to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.
• Be able to perform the listed physical activities, including walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, stooping, lifting, talking, seeing, hearing, feeling, using clear speech, and operating machinery.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive experience is preferred.
• I-CAR or other certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality work in a timely manner according to work orders and automotive industry standards.
• Perform oil changes and replace filters.
• Complete Level I Inspections and follow through according to company procedures.
• Drive responsibly and follow laws when picking up parts or transporting customers and/or their vehicles.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain other areas as needed or requested.
• Place used tires and batteries in designated locations immediately after work is completed.
• Work in harmony with the production schedule and meet deadlines.
• Communicate with the Service Writer about when work is started and finished, task priorities, and assignment delegation.
