About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is hiring an entry-level General Service Technician / Mechanic at its Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota location. The technician performs routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, conducts courtesy inspections, communicates findings to the service team, and works collaboratively to address guest concerns. Requirements
- Positive, energetic attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to communicate mechanical issues effectively to the service team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Current driver's license.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
- Ability to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Communicate the extent of vehicle damage or malfunctions to the service department.
- Work with other technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns.
- Perform state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections.
- Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA right-to-know requirements and hazardous waste disposal rules.
- Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and organization, including housekeeping tasks as directed by management.
