About The Position

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a General Security Administrative Assistant in San Diego, California, in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command.

Requirements

Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 10 years of experience in the field of work or related military experience
In-depth understanding of security, including personal and information security
At least two years of experience using the Defense Information System for Security
Ability to operate an information technology system with common/standard business software programs
Ability to work on site 100 percent of the time
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to enter data in multiple databases and maintain it
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in performing all tasks
Ability to perform duties independently with minimal oversight
Ability to write correspondence in a military format when necessary
Professional conduct and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Support the customer’s Security Manager in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures
Review, process, and submit accurate and error-free requests for security clearance investigations using the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency portal
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records and submit required reports
Conduct interviews
Perform records checks, indoctrinations, and briefings
Assist with access control and credentialing
Verify security clearances
