General Role Player / OPFOR - STATESBORO, GA
About The Position
This role involves acting as an Opposing Force (OPFOR) and Role Player (RP) for a training scenario in Statesboro, GA, from July 20-24. The position requires individuals to stay on script, wear appropriate costuming, operate various military weapons systems (including those firing marking cartridges, paintball, and blank ammunition), and act as OPFOR. Physical fitness is essential, as participants must be able to work in austere environments, during darkness, handle basic weapons safely, be restrained for extended periods, and withstand being shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition while wearing protective gear. The role also includes being frisked and searched while restrained, and standing or laying prone for extended periods.
Requirements
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be a US Citizen and can provide proof.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
- Shall be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.
- Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods of time.
- Be comfortable with having trainees frisk and search them while they are restrained.
- Be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods of time with and without restraints.
- Be able to participate in scenario training where they should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) while wearing safety equipment (personal protective equipment).
- Be able to wear safety equipment consisting of a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.
Nice To Haves
- Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Stay on script for the scenario without adlibbing or changing the scope of the scenario.
- Wear clothing, including costuming and headgear, appropriate to the scenario training.
- Operate various military weapons systems and fire marking cartridge weapons, paintball type weapons systems, and blank ammunition after instruction on safe use.
- Act as Opposing Force (OPFOR), including being engaged with marking cartridge weapons.
- Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude working in an austere environment and during hours of darkness.
- Demonstrate familiarity with basic weapons handling, including safety.
- Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods.
