About The Position

Join our team at Tyson Foods as a general laborer. These positions involve basic to intermediate skill knife work, such as trimming and removing bones from meat products. This position could work in any department of this pork processing facility. Tyson Foods is accepting REHIRES for this position at the Madison plant.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach continuously.
Must be willing and able to lift up to 65 lbs.
Must be willing and able to work in a cold, damp or hot, humid environment.
Must be willing and able to work in either the Harvest or Cut/Converting department.
Must be willing and able to work 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a MINIMUM rehire waiting period of 180 days and a 3 time hire limit.
Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.
Must pass a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment.

Responsibilities

Performing physical requirements of the job including standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Lifting up to 65 lbs.
Potentially climbing stairs/ladders.
Working in a cold, damp or hot, humid environment.
Working in either the Harvest (processing offal products, wet, humid, hot environment, temperatures >90 degrees) or Cut/Converting (further processing of fresh pork products, cold and damp environment, 35-45 degrees) department.
Working 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.
