About The Position

The General Production Operator maintains operations across a range of manufacturing lines and operates production equipment—including press, furnace, heat treating, coating, saw, and lathe lines—to meet customer demands. The role emphasizes safe, efficient, multi-machine operation and high-quality results.

The operator runs press room equipment to established rates and quality standards; uses measuring tools and gages for SPC charting and quality systems; enters operational data in Plexus; and maintains material traceability. The position also involves operating a hi-lo and/or overhead crane, following quality procedures, maintaining 5S standards, and responding to safety concerns. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, daily operations, material handling, quality criteria, and safety issues.
• Troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate press room equipment and maintain established run rates and quality standards.
• Use standard, depth, and bore micrometers, calipers, and gages to perform SPC charting and maintain quality systems.
• Use Plexus software for operations tracking and data entry.
• Maintain material traceability, including tags and heat numbers.
• Operate a hi-lo and/or overhead crane in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Adhere to quality systems and follow formal deviations only when directed by supervision or quality technicians.
• Uphold 5S standards and keep the workspace clean, organized, and efficient.
• Identify and respond to safety concerns to help maintain a zero-injury environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
