About The Position

Join our team at Tyson Foods as a general laborer. These positions involve basic to intermediate skill knife work, such as trimming and removing bones from meat products. This position could work in any department of this pork processing facility. Tyson Foods is accepting REHIRES for this position at the Madison plant. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a MINIMUM rehire waiting period of 180 days and a 3 time hire limit. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.; and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of a post-offer health assessment.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach continuously.
Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs.
May involve climbing stairs/ladders.
Must be willing and able to work in a cold, damp or hot, humid environment.
Must be able and willing to work 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday (depending on department).
Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.

Responsibilities

Trimming and removing bones from meat products using basic to intermediate skill knife work.
Performing tasks in any department of a pork processing facility.
Working in either a Harvest environment (processing offal products, wet, humid, hot, temperatures >90 degrees) or a Cut/Converting environment (further processing of fresh pork products, cold and damp, temperatures 35-45 degrees).
Potentially working 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.
