About The Position

Join our team at Tyson Foods as a general laborer. These positions involve basic to intermediate skill knife work, such as trimming and removing bones from meat products. This position could work in any department of this pork processing facility. Tyson Foods is accepting REHIRES for this position at the Madison plant. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a MINIMUM rehire waiting period of 180 days and a 3 time hire limit. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.; and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of a post-offer health assessment.

Requirements

Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach continuously.
Willing and able to lift up to 65 lbs (may vary by department, up to 100 lbs in Loadout).
May involve climbing stairs/ladders.
Must be willing and able to work in one of the following environments based on availability: Harvest (wet, humid, hot, >90 degrees), Cut/Converting (cold, damp, 35-45 degrees), Loadout (dry, cold, 25-45 degrees).
Must be able and willing to work 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.
Provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.
Pass a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment.
Rehires must have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and a 3-time hire limit.

Responsibilities

Trimming and removing bones from meat products.
Processing offal products (Harvest).
Further processing of fresh pork products (Cut/Converting).
Reading order sheets, locating and retrieving boxes from a two-story rack system, and placing them on a conveyor (Loadout).
Placing boxes onto pallets and/or arranging them directly in trucks, ensuring proper box orientation and label visibility (Loadout).
