About The Position

General Production Labor positions at FPL Food’s Further Processing facility in Thomasville, Georgia involve following procedures to process beef into grinds, hamburger patties, and chubs. Employees work to meet goals set by the General Manager for line speed and work quality, while helping ensure operations run smoothly, efficiently, cleanly, and safely, remain compliant, and support the team. Most positions rotate among other jobs and production lines.

The work involves repetitive assembly-line tasks and may include stacking, packing, sealing, weighing, and sorting. Employees use tools and machinery such as knives, product wrapping equipment, scales, grinders, and other hand or power tools. The role requires standing for long periods, performing physical repetitive work, gripping and grasping, and lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to work in cold temperatures and a wet environment. The schedule starts between 5:15 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods while performing physical, repetitive line work.
• Ability to grip and grasp and to lift or push up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to withstand cold temperatures and work in a wet environment.
