About The Position

Amcor in New London, Wisconsin, is seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join its production team as a General Plant Spare Hand. This entry-level manufacturing role supports operations across the facility and provides training in multiple production processes. No previous manufacturing experience is required; training is provided.

The role pays $27.93 per hour, with overtime opportunities available during the first year. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate, and Sundays are paid at 2 times the regular rate. The position follows a rotating 21-7 schedule: seven days on 6:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m., seven days on 2:45 p.m.–10:45 p.m., seven days on 10:45 p.m.–6:45 a.m., followed by seven days off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work all shifts within a rotating 21-7 schedule.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Train and work as a Rewind, Blown Film, Coating, or Press Assistant based on production needs.
• Support production operations while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Follow plant safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Participate in OSHA and site-required safety training.
• Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
