About The Position
Jefferson Health is hiring a General Nocturnist Anesthesiologist at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, a 600-bed teaching hospital serving the Greater Philadelphia region. The role offers a dedicated night and weekend schedule, a diverse anesthesiology case mix, strong clinical support, and a collaborative team environment. The team includes 28 anesthesiologists and 50 CRNAs. The call team has one attending anesthesiologist and three CRNAs, with backup physician coverage available. Pediatric cases are not included. Comprehensive orientation and onboarding are offered to new graduates and experienced physicians. Optional additional shifts are available. The regular schedule consists of one 12-hour overnight shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and one 24-hour weekend shift per week. The position offers competitive compensation, six weeks of vacation, one week of CME, and a $3,000 annual CME allowance, along with insurance, retirement, malpractice, and disability coverage.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
- Eligibility for Pennsylvania medical licensure and required certifications.
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesiology care across cases including thoracic, vascular, obstetrics, neurosurgery, trauma, regional anesthesia, and orthopedics.
- Work the dedicated schedule of one 12-hour overnight shift and one 24-hour weekend shift per week.
- Collaborate with the clinical team, including anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
- May take optional additional shifts.
