About The Position

Jefferson Health is seeking a General Nocturnist Anesthesiologist to join the experienced, collaborative team at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, a 600-bed teaching hospital serving the Greater Philadelphia region. The role offers a dedicated night and weekend schedule and a diverse range of anesthesiology cases, with strong clinical support. Pediatric cases are not included. The schedule consists of one 12-hour overnight shift, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and one 24-hour weekend shift per week. The call team includes one attending anesthesiologist and three CRNAs, with backup physician coverage available. Additional shifts are optional. Comprehensive orientation and onboarding are available for new graduates and experienced physicians. The compensation package includes six weeks of vacation, one week of CME, a $3,000 annual CME allowance, medical, dental, and vision insurance, pension and 403(b)/457 retirement savings options, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and life and long-term disability insurance.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program.
Eligibility for Pennsylvania medical licensure and required certifications.
Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesiology care for a diverse case mix, including thoracic, vascular, obstetrics, neurosurgery, trauma, regional anesthesia, and orthopedics.
Participate in the dedicated overnight and weekend schedule.
Work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide quality patient care.
