Position Summary: With oversight and direction from the Manager of Residency Practice (MRP), Director of Medical Education (DME) and the Program Director (PD), the Program Coordinator (PC) is responsible for the operational and financial management of the accredited Residency/Fellowship training program and the strategic planning support for the program and institutional improvement efforts. The PC will ensure compliance with the Residency/Fellowship specialty specific Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. The Program Coordinator will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues including long range planning, recruiting trainees, developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow, coordinating, and supporting the preparation of didactic sessions, and maintain residency related databases. They will also be the point person in the program to serve as a liaison between the Program Director, faculty, residents/fellows, students, graduate medical education office, administration, and other internal and external agencies.
