General Mechanic Full Time Nights

About The Position

This position is responsible for routine maintenance of the hospital and other facilities operated by Baptist Health Hardin. The Engineer role is a mid-level position within the Facilities Engineering Department, requiring expertise in maintenance areas including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. Under the guidance of Engineering leadership, the Engineer III helps ensure the healthcare system’s infrastructure operates efficiently and meets applicable regulations and standards. Patient care and infection control are priorities integrated into all activities. The position is full-time, five nights per week from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotation every third weekend and holiday. A 15% shift differential is offered. Work may be required outside regularly scheduled shifts, in inclement weather, or during emergencies. Engineering department employees use the CMMS work order system to communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least four years of experience in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related role.

Responsibilities
