Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Ability to handle many tasks at the same time.
  • Ability to operate all tools and equipment as required.
  • High School graduate, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Effectively work within a team as well as independently.
  • Energetic and flexible, ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, plumbing and other trades experience is an asset.
  • Trades certification an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Checks daily for work requests assigned to him on work order board.
  • Checks logbook daily for any special instructions.
  • Uses parts inventory book to ensure an adequate supply of materials, hardware, glue, adhesives, varnish and stains are in stock to perform all required tasks.
  • Maintains shop, tool carts and work areas in a clean condition at all times.
  • Maintains and operates all hand tools and power tools in proper and safe manner.
  • Observes all Fire & Safety Regulations in the work place.
  • Participates in fire drills.
  • Complies with all Health & Safety regulations in the workplace.
  • Uses personal safety equipment as required.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by Maintenance management
  • With Director of Preventative Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Coordinator, sets daily priorities for preventative maintenance work orders.
  • Carries pager for purpose of timely response to work requests through the Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintains records and logbooks as required.
  • Ensure all guest issues/requests are resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Attends annual training for WHMIS, Ladder training, MSDS and other courses as suggested by Maintenance supervisors.
  • Prioritizes work to optimize productivity and guest satisfaction
