The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls, food management, staffing, paperwork, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager sets an example for the crew, follows all policies and procedures, and expects the same standards from team members. The role requires working to a schedule, maintaining a professional image and store standards, providing great customer service, and demonstrating reliable attendance and punctuality. Transportation to and from work is required. The position also involves general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning the equipment and facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The role requires communication, basic arithmetic and money-handling skills, computer or touchscreen order entry, and the ability to work independently and with others under stress while meeting quality standards. Work conditions include exposure to changing weather, a wide range of in-store temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing and pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and frequent reaching. The description also includes delivery duties: delivering products by car, delivering flyers and door hangers, and navigating delivery locations. Delivery requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
