The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift at a Domino’s Pizza store, including cost, inventory, and cash controls; food management; staffing; paperwork; customer relations; store cleanliness; marketing; and profitability. The manager sets an example by following all policies and procedures and expects the crew to do the same. The position also involves providing great customer service, maintaining attendance and punctuality, working to a schedule, and upholding the store’s image and standards. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Team members may also deliver products and flyers within the designated area, requiring a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle. Work involves standing and walking for much of the day, lifting and carrying supplies and products, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and continuous reaching. Conditions may include varying temperatures and weather, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Advancement opportunities may include franchise ownership or corporate operations roles.
