About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers' doors and delivering flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, including making correct monetary change; verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders; coordination to make precise, rapid movements; and the ability to enter orders using a keyboard or touch screen. The General Manager must understand and give written instructions, communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone, read maps and locate addresses, and navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by phone to process orders.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
