About The Position

Salt & Straw is hiring a full-time General Manager to lead the overall success of its Aventura shop, including its people, operations, and guest experience. The General Manager leads a fast-paced retail and food service operation, develops future leaders, builds a strong team culture, and delivers operational excellence while bringing the company’s mission to life in the local community. The role owns daily shop operations and financial performance, develops Assistant General Managers and Shift Coordinators, and uses data to improve sales, labor, and guest experience. The General Manager also represents Salt & Straw in the community and partners with District Managers and cross-functional teams to support long-term shop and market success. The posted hiring wage is $25.19–$26.69 per hour, with quarterly bonus potential.

Requirements

At least 3 years of leadership experience in food service, hospitality, or retail; General Manager candidates typically bring 5 or more years.
Experience leading teams of 10 or more people in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to coach, develop, and support others with clarity and care.
Ability to balance people leadership with operational responsibilities.
At least 18 years old.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Lead daily shop operations, including scheduling, payroll, inventory, facilities, and financial performance.
Hire, train, and develop a high-performing leadership team of Assistant General Managers and Shift Coordinators.
Set clear expectations and coach consistently, generously, and directly.
Build a culture where people feel supported, challenged, and proud of their work.
Deliver thoughtful, memorable hospitality that reflects curiosity, warmth, and care.
Use data and insights to drive results across sales, labor, and guest experience.
Navigate challenges with calm leadership and celebrate wins.
Build relationships in the local community and represent Salt & Straw as a thoughtful, generous neighbor.
Partner with District Managers and cross-functional teams to support long-term shop and market success.
