About The Position

We are seeking a highly driven, hands-on General Manager to lead and operate our new Cades Cove Outpost retail location in Pigeon Forge. This role is responsible for the full performance of the store, including sales, staffing, inventory, merchandising, events, and overall customer experience. This is not a passive management role. The General Manager is expected to take full ownership of the store’s success, operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, and treat the business like it’s their own.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a retail store or similar operation
  • Experience planning and executing events or promotions is strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and decision-making ability
  • Experience with inventory management and purchasing
  • Comfortable hiring, training, and managing a team
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-traffic tourist market

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the retail store
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually compelling at all times
  • Maintain strong execution of merchandising and product displays
  • Monitor store performance and make adjustments to improve sales
  • Drive revenue growth and maximize profitability
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics
  • Identify opportunities to increase average ticket value and conversion rates
  • Lead by example on the sales floor
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure proper stock at all times
  • Place and track product orders based on sales trends and seasonality
  • Prevent overstocking and stockouts
  • Work closely with ownership on product selection and new items
  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop store employees
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Create a high-energy, customer-focused team culture
  • Handle all disciplinary actions, including terminations when necessary
  • Plan, organize, and execute multiple in-store and off-site events throughout the year
  • Coordinate staffing, inventory, signage, and logistics for each event
  • Work with ownership on promotional ideas and event strategy
  • Ensure events drive traffic, increase sales, and strengthen brand presence
  • Evaluate event performance and continuously improve future execution
  • Ensure every customer has a positive, memorable experience
