The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls, food management, staffing, paperwork, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager must set an example, follow all company policies and procedures, and expect the same standards from the crew. Candidates complete evaluations up to Manager in Training before becoming a store manager. Prior pizza experience is preferred but not required. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role also involves the general duties performed by store team members: operating equipment, stocking and preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The position requires effective communication with customers and coworkers, accurate basic math and handling of monetary change, and the ability to work independently and with others under stress. Team members may be asked to perform any job that needs to be done. Work takes place in a pizza store and may involve coolers, hot work areas and ovens, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Some duties occur outdoors and may expose employees to adverse weather. Physical activities include standing and walking for much of the work, sitting to complete paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and frequent reaching and hand use. The job posting lists a wage range of $16.80–$20.36, with raises tied to completed training evaluations. Monthly bonuses may be offered when criteria and responsibilities are met, but are not guaranteed.
