About The Position

Tailored Security is a rapidly growing provider of customized security solutions for commercial clients, specializing in video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems. They are known for delivering tailored, high-quality installations and responsive service, leveraging modern, cloud-based technologies. With a strong presence in the Midwest, the company is expanding into new markets and is seeking a driven leader to establish and grow its Nashville operation. The General Manager – Nashville will be responsible for launching, leading, and scaling Tailored Security’s local presence. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operations, team building, client development, and full P&L ownership. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in the low-voltage/security industry, along with the ability to build a team, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional service. This role is well-suited for someone who wants to take ownership of a market and play a key role in the company’s expansion.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in the low-voltage/security industry (CCTV, access control, alarms, fire alarm)
  • Prior experience in a leadership role (e.g., Operations Manager, Branch Manager, Project Manager)
  • Strong understanding of installation, service, and project workflows
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, and client relationships
  • Proven ability to grow a book of business or expand a market
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and scale an operation
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow the Nashville branch, building Tailored Security’s local reputation and client base
  • Own and manage branch-level P&L, including revenue growth, margins, and cost control
  • Develop and execute a local market strategy to drive new business and long-term partnerships
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including installations, service, scheduling, and project execution
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to company quality standards
  • Implement processes and systems to support scalable, efficient growth
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a team of technicians, project managers, and support staff
  • Lead from the front—coaching, mentoring, and holding the team accountable to performance expectations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Build relationships with commercial clients, contractors, and partners in the Nashville market
  • Support business development efforts, including estimating, proposals, and closing key opportunities
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention through excellent service delivery
  • Maintain oversight of system design and implementation across: Video Surveillance (CCTV), Access Control Systems, Intrusion (Burglar Alarm) Systems, Fire Alarm Systems
  • Stay current on cloud-based security technologies and emerging industry trends
