About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls, customer relations, staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store standards, cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager sets an example for the crew, follows all company policies and procedures, and expects the same from team members. The position also includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The posting describes work in a pizza store and includes delivery-related duties and requirements, including delivering products and flyers within a designated area. Work may involve exposure to variable weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Requirements

• Exercise judgment and make decisions; perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, including making correct monetary change.

• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers, including by telephone, and comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.

• Have navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Be able to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, deal with people, and analyze and compile data.
• Meet the physical demands described, including standing for most tasks, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities during the shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Set an example for the crew and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Manage staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store image and standards, customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation to and from work, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
• Operate store equipment, stock ingredients, prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, complete associated paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility.
• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and deliver flyers and door hangers, as described in the posting.
