The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including staffing, paperwork, cost and cash controls, inventory, food management, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager sets an example for the crew, follows all policies and procedures, and expects the same from team members. The role also involves maintaining standards, working to a schedule, and ensuring excellent customer service, attendance, and punctuality. The position includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role may involve delivering products and requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. Work may involve standing for most tasks, walking, sitting to complete paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, and reaching. Conditions include exposure to varying weather, temperatures from a walk-in cooler to hot work areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Team members must communicate with customers and coworkers, handle repetitive work and pressure, and meet quality standards.
