About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for management of the entire Mach 1 truck stop location in Marion, Illinois. The role includes providing exemplary customer service, building team member relations, and ensuring the location achieves the highest profitability. The position also oversees the store’s daily operations and team of sales associates.

Requirements

Self-motivated.
Able to multitask and be extremely organized.
Physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Background screen required.

Responsibilities

Supervise 12–15 sales associates.
Interview, hire, and train sales associates.
Ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
Ensure the store’s appearance reflects company standards.
Comply with federal and state laws pertaining to store operations.
Handle daily paperwork, bank deposits, inventory counts, cash audits, invoice processing, and order placement.
Schedule employees and control labor hours.
Oversee day-to-day operations.
Monitor competitor pricing at local competing stores.
