About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the General Manager – Miami Distribution & Warehouse is a highly hands-on leadership role responsible for the daily execution, organization, safety, and performance of the Miami warehouse, production, and distribution operation, which includes a large facility and a workforce of 15+ employees. While this role provides operational oversight to two smaller satellite store locations, the primary focus is direct, on-site leadership of the Miami operation. This position requires consistent physical presence on the warehouse floor to ensure adherence to safety standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inventory accuracy, production flow, and operational discipline. The role balances active involvement with data-driven oversight by using KPIs, audits, and systems to measure performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 5+ years of hands-on operations, warehouse, or distribution leadership experience
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a physical, operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of SOP enforcement, safety, and compliance
  • Experience using KPIs and systems to manage performance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field
  • Experience in regulated environments (hazmat, DOT, warehouse operations)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence in daily warehouse, mixing/production, and distribution operations.
  • Ensure the facility remains organized, clean, safe, and compliant at all times.
  • Enforce and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across warehouse, production, logistics, and safety functions.
  • Lead by example in safety practices, regulatory compliance, and operational discipline.
  • Oversee inventory control, receiving, picking, shipping, and storage accuracy.
  • Implement and actively use Comcept WMS to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Conduct bi-monthly site audits and ensure corrective actions are completed and documented.
  • Coordinate facility and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and risk.
  • Oversee inside sales and customer service operations while maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Monitor and act on key operational KPIs related to safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and service levels.
  • Use data and reports to assess current performance, identify trends, and measure improvement.
  • Lead corrective action efforts when performance, safety, or compliance standards are not met.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational ownership.
  • Oversee inside sales and customer service operations.
  • Assist with POS transactions, customer service, and paint mixing as business needs dictate.
  • Maintain a professional presence that reinforces customer quality and service expectations.
  • Directly oversee and support supervisors and frontline employees at the Miami location.
  • Ensure employees are trained, cross-trained, and following SOPs and safety standards.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
  • Address performance issues promptly and consistently, in partnership with HR.
  • Ensure staffing levels and schedules support operational demand.
  • Foster a disciplined, respectful, and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company, OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, EPA, RCRA, and HMR regulations.
  • Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, labeling, documentation, and disposal.
  • Monitor and enforce Company security standards, including opening/closing procedures and truck inspections.
  • Maintain accurate safety, compliance, and training documentation.
  • Actively participate in incident prevention, investigation, and corrective action.
  • Provide operational oversight and support to two smaller store locations that are primarily managed by on-site Store Managers.
  • Ensure consistency with Company SOPs, safety standards, and operational expectations.
  • Support Store Managers with guidance, audits, and performance alignment as needed.
