About the role We are seeking a General Manager, Learning & Leadership Development to define and lead the enterprise learning and leadership strategy across the Group. This role requires an experienced global leader to drive our strategy on skill and governance and oversee end-to-end learning delivery, ensuring scalable, consistent standards and measurable impact. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the role also shapes key decisions on leadership development and enterprise capability. Reporting directly to the Head of Talent Area of Expertise (AoE) and operating within a collaborative matrix environment in Talent AoE, the primary responsibilities include: Set and lead the enterprise learning and leadership development strategy, aligning to Group Strategy and driving impact across leadership, early careers and capability priorities Identify enterprise learning needs through engagement with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, translating into strategic priorities Govern the learning architecture (skills, curricula, standards) to ensure consistency, scalability and alignment with organisational goals Oversee end-to-end learning design and delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with evolving business needs Define and track learning effectiveness, using data and insights to continuously improve outcomes and impact Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and impact of learning (e.g. Learning Full Potential) Own the leadership development strategy, aligned to talent priorities, succession and organisational growth Manage strategic vendor partnerships and optimise learning platforms (with HR Tech) to ensure quality, access and value delivery Provide executive-level reporting and external market insights, while leading a high-performing team to drive innovation and enterprise impact Oversee the Graduate Programme as a core early‑career pipeline

Requirements

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • A degree in Bachelor of Business or similar (e.g., Human Resources, Organisational Psychology)
  • Extensive experience shaping and driving enterprise-wide learning and leadership portfolios, delivering strategic impact across global organisations
  • Deep expertise in designing, delivering and evaluating large-scale learning strategies aligned to business priorities
  • Extensive experience in leading global, large scale transformations with relevance to learning and development
  • Strong track record in building and managing strategic partnerships to deliver high-quality content and measurable learning outcomes
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead global alignment on enterprise learning strategies
  • Experienced in driving enterprise leadership initiatives and embedding scalable learning solutions
  • Proven success in leading a learning team with accountability and strong governance approach
  • Inclusive and strategic mindset, designing globally relevant programmes that prioritise accessibility, diversity and alignment with organisational values
