About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager 4 to lead dining operations at Pittsburg State University, located in Pittsburg, KS. Pitt State is a vibrant regional university known for its strong academic programs, engaged campus community, and proud Gorilla tradition. This exciting opportunity represents a new partnership and a unique chance to help shape the future of campus dining from the ground up. The General Manager will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the dining program, including resident dining, retail, catering, and client relations, while building a culture focused on operational excellence, innovation, student satisfaction, and financial success. This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the student experience while fostering strong relationships with university stakeholders, team members, and the surrounding community. Requirements
- Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
- Have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
- Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
- Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years management experience
- Minimum 5 years functional experience
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates
