This role involves examining and diagnosing issues with machines and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include dismantling equipment, performing repairs using hand tools and fitting parts, replacing defective components, reassembling machines, and making necessary adjustments for operation. The position requires performing preventative maintenance independently, demonstrating proficiency with measuring and hand tools, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, as well as PLC and I/O programs. Basic skills in welding, milling machine, and lathe operation are necessary, along with the ability to troubleshoot equipment both electrically and mechanically. The ideal candidate can learn quickly, become self-sufficient, and complete projects safely and efficiently. This role also assists in maintaining repair parts inventory and requires basic computer skills for updating CMMS records in compliance with QMS and ISO or FDA standards. Specific equipment troubleshooting includes molding machines, grinders, augers, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and support equipment. Work must be performed safely, adhering to GMP and housekeeping standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. All duties must be performed in accordance with safety rules and procedures, and may include sweeping, cleaning, and sorting as needed. Other duties may be assigned.
