About The Position

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support one of our clients in the Northern, VA region. This role involves a variety of custodial and labor tasks to maintain the facility and its grounds. The position requires a Top-Secret clearance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Specific training and thorough knowledge in the particular area of facility maintenance, plus a broad knowledge of other disciplines such as general math, etc., is required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Knowledge of applicable state and Federal laws and company policies and procedures is required.
• Must possess a valid state issued driver license.
• Must have a Top-Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience up to 6000lbs desired.
• A minimum of two (2) years of documented, verifiable training or experience with hazardous material desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks including dusting, washing, vacuuming, stripping & waxing floors, polishing, trash collection and removal, carpet cleaning, replenishment of toilet and kitchen supplies, use of dishwasher and stacking dishes, and cleaning AC/Heating supply and return vents.
• Perform labor tasks including grass cutting, changing light bulbs, trimming weeds on fence lines & around parking areas, blowing leaves & grass off parking lots, cleaning drains in parking lots.
• Services shall be performed in various areas including office areas, special purpose areas, toilet & shower areas, corridors, fixtures, ash receptacles, windows, lobbies, entrance ways, trash dumpster areas, storage areas, weight rooms, conference rooms, garage areas, and kitchen areas, as well as outside the building.
