Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficient) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and basic electrical work. Requirements

Valid State driver’s license
Possess an OSHA 10 card or have the ability to get one within the first 90 days of employment.
Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and building or comparable experience.
Must be able to comprehend, read, speak and write fluently in the English language.
Working knowledge (less than Journeyman) in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, and basic electrical.
Employees must furnish their own hand tools.
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 70 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds and walkways.
Must be able to complete assigned tasks in high or confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

Three years’ work experience in O&M services supporting a military base or civilian installation.
High school diploma

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties involving the installation and/or repairs basic electrical equipment, painting, plumbing, carpentry and/or masonry, but not to proficiency.
Assists other crafts and trades personnel in their daily operations.
Inspects work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, policies, and regulations.
Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.
Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed.
Performs other tasks as directed by supervisor.
