About The Position

The General Maintenance Engineer III assists to ensure equipment, physical plant, and property are maintained properly so that equipment operates at optimum levels. This role involves completing work assignments and tasks in cooperation with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment. The engineer will work with the Maintenance Planning department to evaluate needs for all work requests, both scheduled and unscheduled, as well as any special projects that arise. Responsibilities include following up on preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, and any other mechanical systems, as well as assisting in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. The role also requires reviewing and maintaining maintenance logs and completing all necessary documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
