General Liability Associate Attorney (Hybrid in Boston, MA) (Full-Time)
About The Position
Career Developers Inc. is recruiting a General Liability Associate Attorney for a client in Boston, Massachusetts. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is full-time, with a stated salary range of $135,000–$165,000. The attorney will join a collaborative team representing sophisticated clients facing complex legal challenges and will have opportunities to grow professionally and contribute to the firm’s success. The Associate will handle defense litigation and gain experience across practice areas including complex tort and general casualty, employment, construction, professional liability, and product liability. The role involves managing matters throughout all stages of litigation, collaborating with attorneys and partners, communicating with clients about case status and strategy, and preparing discovery materials and related motions and briefs.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Massachusetts; admission in Rhode Island and/or New Hampshire is also referenced.
- Three years of experience.
- Superior communication, writing, analytical, and research skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with litigation involving complex tort and general casualty, employment, construction, professional liability, and/or product liability is preferred.
- Experience handling court appearances and depositions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage matters at all stages of litigation.
- Represent clients in a wide range of defense litigation.
- Work closely with other attorneys and partners on litigation matters.
- Communicate with clients, provide regular reports and case-status updates, and recommend litigation and case-resolution strategies.
- Prepare discovery requests, objections, and responses to discovery requests.
- Prepare motions and briefings relating to discovery disputes.
- Handle court appearances and conduct depositions as opportunities arise.
