About The Position

The Fort Lauderdale, Florida office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice. The practice represents defendants in significant-exposure general liability matters, including property and personal injury claims involving insured and self-insured businesses and individuals. It handles a wide range of litigation, with particular strength in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases.

The firm is interested in attorneys with insurance defense experience as well as developing attorneys with strong skills in other litigation areas. This role offers an opportunity to work in a growing, collaborative firm alongside experienced trial attorneys.

Requirements

• Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
• At least two to seven years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, as well as handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Substantive litigation experience.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance defense experience is preferred.
• Ability to speak Spanish is strongly preferred.
