About The Position

Sofina Foods is seeking General Labourers for their Brampton Plant. This is a part-time afternoon position with the potential to work up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, based on operational needs. The role involves various tasks in a food manufacturing environment, including quality checks, packing, operating machinery, and maintaining cleanliness. Requirements

Experience within a food manufacturing environment
Good communication skills, both written and spoken English
Attention to detail with basic computer skills and strong leadership skills
Capable of lifting 25kg
Require to stand for 8 hours with some lifting and bending
Ability to follow and execute instructions given by Managers/Supervisors
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
Work in conditions under 10˚C

Responsibilities

Take an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies
Visual quality checks of product against customer and internal specifications (including foreign materials and weight checks)
Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility
Adhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging material
Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with Health and Safety requirements
Pack various meat products into trays/boxes
Operate slicing machine and weight scale, if necessary
Complete all checklists correctly in a timely manner
Pushing & pulling of skids and racks
Palletizing
Other duties as required/assigned
