About The Position

Candidate will possess knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment and tools, clean work site and personal safety as well as the safety of team members. This position is predominately outdoors at an Industrial Construction Site. Exposure to extreme hot or cold outside temperatures is possible.

Requirements

1+ years of field experience as a General Laborer
Must hold a valid TWIC Card
Must hold a valid OSHA Basic Plus
Must be able to pass all Safety Council related courses
Must undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram, fit test if applicable)
Must hold a valid Driver’s License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles
Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of the individual or others that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Maintaining equipment and tools
Clean work site and personal safety as well as the safety of team members
Punctual towards arriving at the construction site early enough to commence work
Loading and unloading of construction equipment and material
General housekeeping of project sites
Work very closely with skilled craftsman to set up forms where concrete is poured
Engage all forms of hard labor that is necessary for the completion of the construction project
Install various commercial, and industrial systems that are needed
Use, clean, and maintain the different tools used on the construction site
Handle the hoists, and other equipment used to lift construction materials
Work at heights and in confined spaces
Perform awkward and repetitive manual tasks
Light administration and assistance to Project Superintendent
