About The Position

The Industrial Carpenter Helper will possess knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment and tools, ensuring a clean worksite, and upholding personal safety as well as the safety of team members. The position requires punctuality, the ability to perform various forms of hard labor, and close collaboration with skilled craftsmen. Duties may include loading/unloading materials, general housekeeping of project sites, setting up forms for concrete pouring, installing commercial and industrial systems, and handling hoists and lifting equipment. The role also involves working at heights, in confined spaces, performing awkward and repetitive manual tasks, and potentially assisting with light administration for the Project Superintendent.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid TWIC Card
  • Must hold a valid OSHA Basic Plus
  • Must be able to pass all Safety Council related courses
  • Must undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram, fit test if applicable)
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment and tools.
  • Clean work site and ensure personal safety and the safety of team members.
  • Arrive at the construction site punctually to commence work.
  • Load and unload construction equipment and materials.
  • Perform general housekeeping of project sites.
  • Work closely with skilled craftsmen to set up forms for concrete pouring.
  • Engage in all forms of hard labor necessary for the completion of the construction project.
  • Install various commercial and industrial systems as needed.
  • Use, clean, and maintain tools used on the construction site.
  • Handle hoists and other equipment used to lift construction materials.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Perform awkward and repetitive manual tasks.
  • Assist with light administration and support to the Project Superintendent.
