About The Position

Join the Home Style Foods food production team and help prepare vegetables and other ingredients used to make food products. The work includes cutting ingredients, operating equipment, moving materials, and cleaning the production area. This is a full-time weekday position with a 5:00 AM start, typically lasting 8 hours per shift, and an early-afternoon finish. Applicants must be able to reliably report at the early start time. The work takes place in temperatures of 50°F or below and requires standing and moving throughout the shift, repeatedly lifting and/or pushing up to 50 pounds, and bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the day. Required protective equipment includes hairnets, gloves, lab coats, and safety glasses. Pay is $15–$16 per hour, with an opportunity for a pay increase after 90 days and regular performance reviews with opportunities for wage growth.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Able to handle physical work in a cold environment.
• Willing to learn and follow safety and food-handling procedures.
• Able to reliably report to work for a 5:00 AM start.

Nice To Haves

• Food production experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, cut, and weigh vegetables and other ingredients.
• Operate cutting equipment, grinders, and other production machines.
• Supply ingredients to mixers and other production areas.
• Move tubs, boxes, pans, and carts.
• Wash and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Follow food safety, cleaning, and safety rules.
• Help with other production tasks as needed.
