About The Position

The Production Home Assembler follows work orders and instructions to prepare and assemble building components and homes accurately and efficiently in a factory assembly-line environment. The role involves a range of construction and carpentry tasks, including framing, electrical installation, drywall preparation, roofing, finish carpentry, siding, window and door installation, and painting. The assembler works cooperatively with other employees, follows company rules and safety standards, and performs other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to pass a tape-measure test.
Basic knowledge of hand tools.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Basic construction knowledge and comfort using basic tools.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a high-volume environment.
Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly with other team members.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma.
Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment for carpentry and construction tasks, including circular saws, table saws, routers, pneumatic nail guns, and drills.
Measure, cut, fasten, and drill materials using appropriate tools.
Frame, lay out, and build floors.
Prepare, lay out, and build walls.
Lay out, run, and install electrical lines, switches, receptacles, and panels or breaker boxes.
Install and prepare drywall for finishing, including taping, mudding, and texturing.
Construct roofs, including decking, flashing, and shingling.
Perform cabinet and finish carpentry, including trim building and installation.
Install siding, windows, and doors.
Paint the interiors and exteriors of homes.
Cooperate with and promote a team-oriented approach among company employees.
Follow all rules and regulations and meet or exceed company safety standards.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
