About The Position

Join the Home Style Foods food production team to prepare vegetables and other ingredients used in food products. The role involves cutting ingredients, operating production equipment, moving materials, and cleaning the production area. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 5:00 AM start and typically eight-hour shifts ending in the early afternoon. Work takes place in temperatures of 50°F or below and requires standing and moving throughout the shift, repeatedly lifting and/or pushing up to 50 pounds, and bending, twisting, and reaching. Required protective equipment includes hairnets, gloves, lab coats, and safety glasses. Pay is $15–$16 per hour, with an opportunity for a pay increase after 90 days and regular performance reviews with opportunities for wage growth.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Dependable and on time, including reliably reporting for the 5:00 AM start time.
• Able to handle physical work in a cold environment.
• Willing to learn and follow safety and food handling procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Food production experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, cut, and weigh vegetables and other ingredients.
• Operate cutting equipment, grinders, and other production machines.
• Supply ingredients to mixers and other production areas.
• Move tubs, boxes, pans, and carts.
• Wash and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Follow food safety, cleaning, and safety rules.
• Help with other production tasks as needed.
