About The Position

Closets by Design is seeking a motivated General Laborer to work as a shop assistant. The role supports the production of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall beds, garage cabinetry, and other home organizing products. The company describes itself as a nationally recognized industry leader with more than 40 years of brand history. The listed compensation is $16.00 per hour, including base pay and bonuses. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends or required overtime. Tools and equipment are provided.

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making, preferably with 32mm systems.
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
• Prior woodworking experience; it is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Learn the company’s product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Complete additional tasks or projects assigned by the Production Manager.
