About The Position

The General Laborer supports production powder warehouse and packaging operations at the Main Plant in Tempe, Arizona. The role maintains cleanliness and sanitation in production and packaging areas, performs warehouse support tasks, and provides relief coverage for packaging operators as needed. It may also involve operating packaging equipment and maintaining production standards for finished-product pounds per hour and bags per hour. The position requires accurate recordkeeping and compliance with SOPs, HACCP guidelines, and UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or educational equivalent.
Forklift certification.
Ability to operate packaging equipment as needed.
Ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ability to safely operate equipment.
Ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
Ability to hear and speak, including frequently in very noisy environments.
Ability to walk and stand for 12 or more hours at a time.
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, and carry items between 20 and 55 pounds often.
Ability to push and pull items frequently in excess of 55 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights, including floors of 100 feet or more.
Ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions.
Ability to work in confined spaces frequently.
Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

Maintain general cleanliness of the warehouse production area and powder packaging areas.
Perform housekeeping duties, including sanitation, cleaning, and sweeping in production powder warehouse and packaging areas.
Perform miscellaneous production powder warehouse support duties, including sorting and stacking.
Provide relief coverage for packaging operators as needed.
Operate packaging equipment efficiently to maintain Company production standards for pounds per hour of finished product and bags per hour.
Maintain proper packaging supply stock.
Keep accurate and legible records.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
Adhere to SOPs and HACCP guidelines.
Follow UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures, and report any nonconformity.
Perform other duties as required.
