General Laborers are responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites. They use hand tools like shovels or picks while operating machinery to help them with the work and assist crews with other necessary tasks.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years construction experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education
Valid Driver License, with an acceptable driving record
Ability to read and follow directions for manual processes
Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen

Responsibilities

Using manual labor and hand tools to assist with installation of petroleum dispensing equipment at retail and commercial fuel outlets
Thread and install steel, fiberglass and flexible piping components
Learn to operate excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, compactors, skid loaders, air compressors, concrete saws and jack hammers
Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations
Display conduct which reflects positively on the construction department and Petro Towery
Promote Petro Towery’s mission statement
Provide quality customer service
