About The Position
Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems, designing, manufacturing, and installing custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall beds, garage cabinetry, and more. The company is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to work as a shop assistant. The role involves working with woodworking machinery and hand tools, supporting daily production, and following quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making, preferably with 32mm systems.
- Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
- Prior woodworking experience; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
- Follow quality and safety standards.
- Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
- Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
- Complete additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.
